All three of the movies are so amazing and awe inspiring that you can watch them time and time again and love every minute of it. Get a glass of wine, don your favourite suit, light a cigar and watch the rise and fall of Michael Corleone in all of its brilliant, tragic yet beautiful glory.
The Lord of the Rings trilogy
Much like The Godfather trilogy, there is very little that compared to the LOTR trilogy. The movies seem to progress in brilliance one after the other and you simply cannot watch one without watching the other two simply because you will not feel whole, you will feel incomplete as if something is missing. The story excels in brilliance and uniqueness and it pays homage to Tolkien in a flawless way. With a star studded cast of actors both veterans and rookies alike, the acting is flawless, the story is timeless and the majestic, beautiful scenery is truly one of a kind. The LOTR trilogy is a masterpiece and a testament of modern day filmmaking brilliance.
George A. Romero’s “Dead” series
George A. Romero is a horror legend and he is most famous for his “Dead” series of films. Arguably, the very best in the series can be watched time and time again. These include the original “Night of the Living Dead”, the original “Dawn of the Dead and the modern day masterpiece, “Diary of the Dead”. The three aforementioned titles in the Dead series are timeless. They showcase grim, grizzly messages about human nature and life such as racism, consumerism, addiction and greed. These three films are a must-see in the Dead series. Do not buy into the hype that Diary is not a good addition to the series either. It is a flawless piece to analyse for film reviewers and casual fans alike and all three will leave you shocked and awed at some of the hidden messages and meanings that you uncover after watching them. That and of course, blood, gore and zombies.
