Potential feuds for Masked Kane in 2012

Masked Kane has been on a rampage since his shocking return to WWE Raw in late 2011. Kane's sights have been set on John Cena as of late, which raises speculation in regards to the reasoning behind Kane's return. Why is Kane targeting Cena? Could it signal the beginning of a feud between the two, or are these altercations merely decoys that could lead to another feud? Needless to say; the "Big Red Machine" is back and better than ever, but who could he potentially feud with in 2012 and beyond?

John Cena

The most obvious feud for Masked Kane is already in place; Kane has his sights set on John Cena. It is important to note that Cena and Kane are not exactly strangers to each other and they have met on several occasions over the last decade. John Cena is scheduled to face The Rock at WrestleMania 28 however which raises further speculation in regards to this feud. Could Kane's fellow "attitude era" veteran, The Rock, have given Kane back his mask to beat up Cena before WrestleMania 28? In an alternate scenario, perhaps Kane returned masked of his own accord with The Rock in his sights and to get to him, he must take out Cena before WrestleMania...

The Rock

To continue with what was just said, what if Kane is targeting John Cena in order to get at The Rock at WrestleMania 28? Both Kane and The Rock have deep history in the WWE and both have been associated with such names as "Stone Cold" Steve Austin and The Undertaker. It would certainly make sense for these two attitude era icons to meet once again and it would not only make sense, but it would certainly be an epic and nostalgic rivalry for these two timeless wrestling legends.

The Undertaker

Another likely candidate for a feud with Masked Kane in 2012 is his own brother of destruction, The Undertaker. There are countless signs which already point to this feud such as Kane returning under his mask, which is his original gimmick. When Undertaker returned under his original gimmick, it was Kane there waiting to feud with him. It is likely that history could repeat and throw the brothers into an epic and illustrious feud once more in 2012. A feud based on their last world title rivalry, their in depth past or perhaps something else? Either way. It doesn't really matter. After all, who better to end the world in 2012 than the brothers of destruction themselves?

Triple H

Triple H and Kane are two other men that are not strangers. They are both attitude era icons and have wrestled on countless occasions. It was Triple H that forced Kane to unmask in the first place which sets the groundwork for a feud by default. Not to mention, these two are the only superstars in WWE to defeat Bill Goldberg. That, combined with their illustrious intertwined past, as well as a future as two of the few veteran icons in the WWE in 2012, certainly makes this a viable and exciting potential feud.

CM Punk

There was a time when Kane was the youth of the future, a title which CM Punk how has in his possession, along with the WWE title for that matter. CM Punk is the leader of the current youth movement whereas Kane is one of the only established veteran stars on the WWE roster today, that is basis for a feud by default. A rivalry between WWE's biggest youth and WWE's most destructive veteran would mean great things in 2012. This is a feud that could potentially be a feud of the year if it should come to pass.

Masked Kane is back in the WWE and better than ever. He is a man on a mission, but what that mission actually is remains to be seen. However, when the "Big Red Machine's" mission finally is revealed, what names in the WWE will be on Kane's hit list? Beware, WWE Universe, the Masked Monster is back and he is on a war path; who will be in Kane's sights in 2012 and beyond?
