Will The Undertaker Vs. Sting happen at WWE WrestleMania 28 in 2012?
70When the excitement seemingly couldn't possibly be higher with The Rock vs. John Cena already confirmed for WrestleMania 28 and Steve Austin vs. The Miz potentially in the works, the only thing that could potentially top both is when the rumours and speculation about The Undertaker begin to circulate.
At WrestleMania 27, The Undertaker defeated Triple H by a thread to push his WrestleMania win streak to 19-0. In one year at WrestleMania 28, will The Undertaker manage to get 20-0, or will his legacy be tarnished and ruined by the potential of a 19-1? More importantly; who will be the man to do it?
In 2011, rumours began to make their way around the Internet about the potential of WCW legend and current TNA world heavyweight champion, Sting. They stated that Sting had signed with the WWE and would make his in-ring debut for the promotion at WrestleMania 28 against The Undertaker in a dream match that has been the wish of countless wrestling fan for decade. The match obviously never came to pass but in a revent interview, Sting said he may be open to the idea in the future. Could the future be WrestleMania 28 in 2012?
There has never been a better time for this dream match to come to pass. Sting has likely signed a one year deal with TNA again meaning he will be free when WrestleMania comes around. Also, given the fact that Undertaker's 20-0 legacy is on the line, WWE will obviously be looking for a major opponent for the match. Who could be a bigger opponent for Undertaker than Sting?
Needless to say, with John Cena vs. The Rock already confirmed and Steve Austin vs. The Miz potentially in the works, if Sting was to sign on for a match against The Undertaker to try and end his streak at 19-1 or fall victim to his 20-0, the pay per view could go down as one of the most star studded in history.
Could the legendary Sting meet the phenom The Undertaker in the squared circle at long last at WrestleMania 28 in 2012? There has never been a better time for the two ring icons to collide to say the least.

Sting wouldn't come to WWE just to have one match at WrestleMania and to get beat by The Undertaker. When he's over at TNA being the champion of their brand.
I see where you are coming from, but Sting has been on the verge of retirement for years. Granted, he's come back better than ever this time and I really hope he doesn't retire. He's one of the few I still watch wrestling for. But the dream match between The Undertaker and Sting would be so fitting at Mania 28 in 2012 and it would only add another notch of legacy to Sting's career by becoming 20-0.
As many Don't know, Sting has never faced The Undertaker(aka Mean Mark Callous) except once or twice I think..back in the 80's..To see these two guys in their Prime, and after so many years of not facing each other..I believe this Match is gonna be bigger than any Wrestlemania event that has been. You think about all the money this one match will draw in pay-per-views ticket sales T-shirts, Internet clicks..I mean this is gonna be bigger than facebook. and the sad thing about it is..Vince McMahon and the Mcmahon family will pocket it all..But I dont think its gonna happen, considering Sting has a very prideful record. He's Defeated Hulk Hogan,The Great Muta,Ric Flair(in his prime)..you name the wrestler..Sting's wrestled them and yes even our very own Stone Cold Steve Austin and Kane for that matter when Kane was a jobber in WCW..The Undertaker however, you have his very prideful record 19-0 wrestlemania..and guess what? you know whose gonna be the onetaking out Taker's Streak? Vince's Son in law, Triple H..Which is sad because the Die hard wrestling fans want Sting to end his Streak..But the Die Hard WWE fans don't want Sting, they want Triple H.. so in other words..Im sorry Sting isnt gonna be 19-1 nor 20-0..he isnt gonna be part of Vince's Circus Act. He rather wrestle on a real wrestling show runned by Real Wrestlers..

Do not forget about another one of Sting's Wrestlemania connections, the Undertaker vs Sycho Sid at Wrestlemania 13 and Sting vs. Sid Vicious WCW Title 90 (other matches as well).
Sting and Undertaker both have been the backbone of their respective wrestling promotions. Sting has faced and defeated some of the Undertaker's opponents and Undertaker has faced and defeated some of Sting's opponents. This match: Sting vs The Undertaker, has been a dream match for almost a decade because of the equal amount of intensity these both have delivered. But if it happens, someone has to win and when that someone wins, the other one may well lose not only the match but the respect and the value, so this match better continue to be the dream match. Or even if it happens, it should be designed and structured in such a way that both of them finish as equals which is impossible or even if it happens, then it would not be very well appreciated by the Pro Wrestling Fans.
Plus, there are possibilities of Vince McMahon misusing the event and The Sting. He has a history of such cases, for eg. Booker T, nWo, Goldberg etc.,
What about a team up of Sting and the Undertaker?--I don't know who they would face--but Taker could go 20-0 + you could have the excitement of Sting appearing as well
well i think taker's streak will not end even not by the sting.... but at the end its surely our dream match.. if this happens this wrestlmania will be the gretest ever :)
i hope sting and the undertaker goes to wm 28 and fight it out and if this does happen it would be the biggest match in history it would be bigger then john cena vs the rock match and also i like to see a wm 28 match Triple H vs Kevin Nash this would make wrestleMania JUST TO SWEET!!!!!! oh yeah u can dig it

I agree to the conditions above also as far as Sting wrestling I have heard Sting himself admit he wants to wrestle at least one match at the biggest show of them all Wrestlemania. Hopefully Wrestlemania 28 is the one. Just think how much the reaction was last year when many thought of The Phenom Undertaker vs The Icon Sting for last year if it comes true it will be the biggest match period.

the word is that sting has signed with wwe and then he has not sign. i thinking he was going to sign till Vince McMahon told sting he had to lose to undertaker at Wrestlemania 28 cuz its all planed out ahead of time and sting did not like it. thats just what i think
well if vince wants to consider signing sting he needs to fix WWE first. give the wwe back its black ropes, enterance stages, baricade, old mat and throw pg out of the window with wwe as it is sting wont sign with them. he would be stupid to sign with them right now. i wanna see sting or some element of TNA in a wwe ring just to see how they look on the wwe product but i dont think sting will go there. i mean i was extremely surprised when wwe brought in NWO , Steiner and gold burg

One reader said Sting should participate only if he is in the main event. Sorry but this years Wrestlemania is going to be headlined by Rock vs. Cena. This is the Rock's big show as they have hyped this match for a year and to have Sting come in for lets say a month and be in the main event is HIGHLY doubtful. Regardless of who ever wins or loses at WM28 streak match, Sting should participate on following conditions:
1) Vince should induct Sting in WWE Hsll of Fame.
2) Sting match should be the main event match ( last card match)
3) There should be a complete unbiased Sting DVD highlighting his career.
